Women spend 76 minutes getting ready for work on Mondays - then let standards slip as the week goes on.
By Friday, getting washed and dressed takes female workers a hasty 19 minutes.
They save time on hair and make-up, but cleanliness does not suffer - showering takes 10 minutes all week.
Men take 28 minutes on a Monday, then just 11 minutes from Wednesday, said a survey by Debenhams.
Spokesman Ed Watson said: "For some it's a swift journey from Cheryl Cole to Nora Batty in just five days."
